OBMS Oak Tree to be Honored – Roanoke Times
While the Midtown team is unable to save the large oak tree near the front of the site, we still plan to honor the natural landmark by planting its acorns and using the wood for commemorations.

Blacksburg Council OK's Second Agreement on Parking Garage, New Police Station – Roanoke Times

Blacksburg Town Council Approves Rezoning for Former Middle School Site – Roanoke Times
The Blacksburg Town Council approved the rezoning needed for the long-awaited redevelopment of the old Blacksburg Middle School site.We appreciate all the hard work over the years by the citizens of Blacksburg and Montgomery County, including the Town Staff, Planning Commission, Town Council, Montgomery County leaders and supporters of the project. Blacksburg, Old Middle School Site Developers Reach Tentative Agreement – Roanoke Times
On Friday April 5, town officials reached a tentative deal with Midtown Redevelopment Partners, which among other things, dictated exactly which parts of the roughly 20-acre property the town will develop, finance and own.
